Minecraft hosting for the UK, without a UK price tag
We will be straight with you: our datacenter is in Frankfurt, not the UK. We only run regions we actually operate, and Frankfurt is the one that is live today. The good news is that for Minecraft it barely matters. The hop across the Channel adds only a few milliseconds over a UK box.
London players typically see mid-teens ping to Frankfurt, and even Scotland stays in the mid-twenties. For a game where anything under about 50 ms feels instant, that is well inside the range where PvP, redstone timing and fast building all feel local.
Ping from UK cities
Approximate round-trip latency from UK cities to our Frankfurt node. Still comfortably under the threshold where Minecraft starts to feel laggy.
Typical round-trip times to our Frankfurt datacenter. Real latency depends on your ISP and route.
A few milliseconds, honestly explained
Frankfurt sits on some of the densest fibre in Europe, with direct routes into the UK through the cross-Channel cables. That is why the extra distance shows up as single-digit to low-teens milliseconds rather than the jump you might expect from a map.
Ping is also only half the story. A server on quiet, well-peered hardware with DDoS filtering will feel steadier than a closer server that is oversold and dropping packets under load. We would rather give you a stable connection to Frankfurt than a shaky one closer to home.
If a UK region ever goes live, we will say so on the page instead of implying we already have one.
Minecraft plans for UK communities
Every plan states its exact CPU, RAM and NVMe. DDoS filtering is included, not an upsell.
