Cookie Policy

Last updated 6 August 2026 · S Ward Host Ltd. (trading as BinaryFall)

This policy lists every cookie and browser storage item BinaryFall uses, what each one does, and how to control it. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.

We set no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Everything below is either required to sign you in and keep the site secure, or remembers a preference you chose. We run no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can recognise you on the next page load. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work similarly but are read by the page rather than sent back to the server. Data protection law treats all three the same way, so we list all of them here.

2. Cookies on binaryfall.com

NameTypePurposeDurationHow to control it
bf_sessionEssentialKeeps you signed in. Holds only a random session identifier, never your name, email, or password. Marked HttpOnly so page scripts cannot read it.30 daysSign out, or clear site data. Blocking it means you cannot sign in.
bf_gstateEssentialSecurity check for “Continue with Google”. Confirms the sign-in that comes back from Google is the one you started, which blocks a cross-site request forgery attack. Only set if you use Google sign-in.10 minutesDeletes itself as soon as sign-in finishes. Sign in with email and password to avoid it entirely.

3. Cookies on the control panel

Your game server control panel runs on panel.binaryfall.com. It sets two cookies of its own, both strictly necessary:

NameTypePurposeDurationHow to control it
binaryfall_sessionEssentialKeeps you signed in to the control panel.12 hoursSign out of the panel, or clear site data.
XSRF-TOKENEssentialProtects panel actions (restarting a server, editing files) against cross-site request forgery.12 hoursRequired for the panel to work; cannot be disabled.

4. Browser storage on binaryfall.com

These are stored by your browser and never transmitted to us as cookies. Clearing site data removes all of them.

NameTypePurposeDurationHow to control it
bf_cookie_consentEssentialRemembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it is not shown on every page.Until you clear site dataClear site data. The notice will then appear once more.
bf-account-v1FunctionalCaches your account view (name, plan, services) so the dashboard renders instantly instead of blank while it loads.Until sign-out or clearing site dataSigning out deletes it.
bf-session-v1FunctionalA marker recording that a signed-in session exists, so the cached account view above is not shown to a signed-out visitor.Until sign-out or clearing site dataSigning out deletes it.
bf-currency-v2FunctionalRemembers the display currency you picked. Prices are always charged in EUR regardless.Until you clear site dataClear site data to reset to the default.
bf_liteFunctionalRemembers that reduced-effects mode is on for this tab, so animations are not re-enabled as you navigate.Until you close the tabCloses with the tab automatically.

5. Third-party cookies

No third party sets cookies on binaryfall.com. Two third parties may set cookies on their own websites when you are sent to them:

  • Stripe — when you pay, you are taken to Stripe’s hosted checkout page. Cookies set there are Stripe’s, used for payment processing and fraud prevention, and governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google”, and only on Google’s own sign-in page, under the Google Privacy Policy.

Neither receives tracking data about your browsing on our site.

6. Notice, not a consent banner

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK PECR regulations, prior consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary — in practice, analytics and advertising. We use none of those, so the law requires us to inform you rather than ask permission, which is what the notice on your first visit does.

This also means there is nothing meaningful to switch off: rejecting the essential cookies would simply stop sign-in from working. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will replace the notice with a genuine consent banner offering a real accept-or-reject choice, and update this page first.

7. Managing cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies for any site through your browser settings:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

On iOS and Android, the same controls sit under your browser app’s privacy settings. Because everything we set is either essential or a saved preference, blocking cookies for BinaryFall will sign you out and stop you signing back in, but it will not cause you to be tracked any less — we were not tracking you.

8. Do Not Track

We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, as no agreed standard for honouring them exists. This makes no practical difference here: we do not track visitors across sites whether or not the signal is sent.

9. Changes & contact

If we add, remove, or change a cookie we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Questions about anything listed here: privacy@binaryfall.com. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
